Our editorial methodology

How we research, write, verify and correct our laundromat and textile-care content.

Why this page exists

Our guides are meant to be useful in real-world laundromat use, not just to match a query. We publish content about textile care, self-service laundromat usage and machine selection based on our operator experience, then we cross-check it against verifiable outside sources.

This page explains our working method, validation criteria, correction policy and the way we separate useful information from sponsored content and affiliate links.

Our publishing principles

Hands-on experience first

We prioritise advice that can be tied to the daily operation of our Speed Queen laundromats in Toulouse and Blagnac: real capacities, common customer mistakes, cycle times, drying constraints and machine maintenance.

Verifiable outside sources

When we make a technical recommendation, we aim to support it with standards, scientific publications, manufacturer data or public-sector guidance rather than vague or unattributed claims.

Clear, actionable language

We write short, structured, action-oriented guides. When uncertainty remains, we state it explicitly instead of presenting a misleadingly certain instruction.

Incremental updates

We prefer correcting and improving existing content over republishing duplicates. Significant changes go through editorial review before they are published.

How we research and verify

Depending on the topic, we combine several levels of sources: textile labelling and care symbols, relevant ISO standards, indexed publications (for example PubMed when a topic involves technical fabrics, allergens or contaminants), manufacturer documentation, and guidance from public organisations such as ADEME.

We then compare those sources against what we observe in the laundromat. If a theoretical recommendation does not hold up in real use, we say so explicitly and choose the most cautious version for the reader.

Correction and update policy

We correct content as soon as a fact, price, opening hour, machine capacity, source or technical wording becomes inaccurate, ambiguous or outdated. Substantial corrections are integrated into the article instead of being left as isolated notes.

If you spot an error or think a point needs clarification, you can contact us. We review the report, verify the original source and update the page when the correction is justified.

Advertising, affiliate links and independence

The site may display ads and some articles may contain affiliate links. That does not justify recommending a product or method that conflicts with our experience or sources. Service information, laundromat usage guides, prices and opening hours are written independently from commercial partnerships.
